The adult female had been called down to supper by her mate. She landed under the limb he was on, then prepared to spring up onto that same limb. This was the only sharp shot I caught before she launched upwards. 4/30/2019

The adult Cooper's Hawk male called the female off the nest to come eat the late evening meal he had caught. She picked at it briefly, then flew back to the nest. The adult male decided to go ahead and eat. Just past halfway in this video, you can see him bob his head while looking around. If you watch closely, you will see the female fly into the lower right corner of the frame. Next thing you know, she takes over the kill and the male takes off.
