Bee suspended in air...and it was. This bee flew into the sunlight that was beaming through the trees on Pilant Trail. It just floated there, in that spot for some 5 minutes. It moved off two times, only to return to the exact same spot each time. I had my 500mm + 1.4x extender mounted, so 14-1/2 feet is as close as I could get. that makes it pretty small in the frame. I've cropped into this considerably, so you could at least see what it was. I was intrigued by the wings that were lit up by the sun and wanted to capture the movement, yet keep the bee sharp.
