Brazos Bend State Park 2013 - DHaass

Large male alligator "growling" at female alligator (mom of the babies in previous photos) in front, who was also "growling". They breathe air into their lungs, tilt their head back while arching their tail. They then force the air back out creating a vibration that makes the water dance over their back. Some of them get the water to go several inches high.
